Description
So you’re married. And it’s hard. Like, it’s harder than you thought it would be. Maybe there’s a lot of fighting. Or he’s been unfaithful. Or there’s an addiction. Or abuse. Or pornography. Or utter boredom. Or you’re roommates at best.
And in the quietness of your mind or in the privacy of your journal or in the confidential office of your counselor or across the table from your best friend, you find yourself asking, “Should I stay or should I go?”
You’re exhausted. You’re confused. You might be fighting back anxiety or depression or both. And you don’t know what to do anymore but you know that it’s time to do something.
I’m here to help. You are not alone. I have walked the road you’re walking. You can go here to read my story.
Over the course of five weeks, we will tackle:
defining & accepting your reality
how to decide whether to stay or go
self-care in the midst of chaos
your emotions & reactions
tangible ways you can get help and thrive
your true hope
changing your thinking
detaching with love
You will receive:
weekly lessons
weekly journaling exercises
and weekly webcast teaching, all from someone who has been there
You will feel heard, understood, supported and guided in tangible ways.
Here’s what Pat said about the course, “The course was really helpful in providing concrete ways to re-think how I was approaching things.”
Disclaimers:
1) I WILL NOT TELL YOU WHETHER YOU SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT DIVORCE YOUR HUSBAND. THAT IS BETWEEN YOU AND GOD ALONE. But if you give yourself over to the process of digging into the readings, journaling exercises and webcasts, I do promise you that you will be thinking clearer and will feel better by the end of our time together.
2) If you are simply unhappy in your marriage, this course is not for you. Read [here](https://elisabethklein.com/2015/12/03/should-i-stay-married-or-can-i-leave/). But if there are things like adultery, addiction, or abuse, let’s get to work.
3) If you or your children are unsafe, you must set up a [personal safety plan](http://cscaa.com/safetyplan.pdf) and ask someone for help.
