I perhaps have never been more excited – or more scared – about a book release! In September, I am releasing my first e-novel. (I know, right???)
I was gently told by a trusted and respected industry insider that World Split Open was, basically, too raw for the Christian market and too Jesus-y for the secular market. (Hmmm…sounds a bit like me!) But I believed in both the raw-ness and the Jesus-y-ness of the story too much to water down any of it. So it’s coming to you as is.
Here’s what some readers are saying about World Split Open:
“Too many Christian women are being crushed under the weight of their secrets that they just can’t share. World Split Open is here to free women from the lie that they are alone. Through the fictional account of Jules, we see that an imperfect life, when placed in Jesus’ hands, will be redeemed. Jules refuses to be crushed by the weight of her family’s sin and shows readers where their hope comes from in realistic and life-giving steps. This is a book about the truth, the challenges of telling the truth, living the truth and ultimately being freed by the truth.” -Erika Solgos
“I loved World Split Open. I could relate to EVERY emotion, thought, prayer, and desire of the main character… so much so it hurt. It felt like me! That in itself was comforting even though the story is fiction. I look forward this releasing so other women can experience it.” – a reader
“In World Split Open, Elisabeth Klein doesn’t gloss over the pain or the heartache of a difficult marriage. I appreciated that Jules isn’t completely healed by the end. She’s definitely on her way up, but she hasn’t arrived. I’m thankful Elisabeth left it slightly messy. Do we ever truly arrive at complete healing?” -Brenda Burney
“I loved World Split Open. It was very realistic. The ending was very unexpected, but good. I think women will be able to relate to the main character, and even though it is not a “happy ending”, I think it will reach hearts and make people think. Great story!” – a reader
And though it’s not releasing until the fall, I need your help NOW! YOU, my sweet readers, get to choose its cover! I put out the call to my Facebook friends and fans and I received ten awesome designs to choose from.

Oh, just reading the descriptions of the book I am getting so excited to read it!! Can’t wait!!
It sounds like a great way to get a Very important message across. Awesome.
Thank you, Rebecca! I’m excited (scared!) too! 🙂 -Elisabeth
Sounds terrific…looking forward to its release! : )
Thank you, CeCe. So sweet! -Elisabeth
Elisabeth, I have to admit I’m a little skeptical about “Christian fiction”, generally because it’s not “raw” enough or “Jesus-y” enough…so it sounds like “World Split Open” will be the perfect read for me! 🙂 I’m looking forward to downloading it and really wish I didn’t have to wait until September to do so.
P.S. Also wanted to add that in general I don’t download e-books either…but I’ve downloaded, printed, and read, both of yours. Hmmmmm…guess I better stop with my generalizations and be open to new things! (I think I have a mug that says something about “new things” too…)
God bless you in your work!
Shelly, I hear you on Christian fiction (in general…some is super good). Yeah, I think it’s safe to say mine just does not fit the bill. (In a good way, I hope!)
And thank you for downloading my other books despite your rule! 🙂
Elisabeth
Is there any way to purchase this book as a regular book? I do not have the device that downloads e-books.
Hey Jennifer, great question! Because I’m choosing to indie-publish, I just can’t afford to do a paperback version of this one…I’m so sorry! However, you will be able to get it in a PDF that you can download to your computer, just like the rest of my e-books. Thanks for asking! -Elisabeth
Thank you! I can definitely do a download on the computer. :O)
