We all know deep down that we are more blessed than we acknowledge, so I'm laying down a challenge to you, my sweet readers.

Every night between now and the end of the year, let's commit to take at least five minutes to write down the following:

-3 good things that happened that day

-3 (tops) yucky things that happened that day (not to dwell, but to get it out)

-3 blessings of God

-3 good things you are anticipating the following day

Easy-peasy. Seriously. Even if you don’t like to write.  Gratitude is a practice, not a natural instinct. And as I’ve said for years, deep gratitude always yields deep joy.

Hannah Whitall Smith says, “It is not because things are good that we are to thank the LORD, but because He is good.” Let’s join together in looking for the good this season and in looking for God this season. Who’s with me??
